Everards start on site at Optimus Point

Wilson Bowden Developments have started works on site for Everards brewery at Optimus Point, situated directly off junction 21a of the M1 motorway.

Wilson Bowden have selected Winvic to construct the 30,000 sq ft builidng, adjacent to the 205 + 276 speculative units. This development further cements Optimus Point as one of the prime, most sought after, warehouse / distribution locations in the UK.

Stephen Gould, managing director of Everards Brewery, said:

"Optimus Point is an ideal location for Everards' new warehouse and distribution solution being so well located at the M1 and A46 intersection."

"We are delighted to have agreed terms with Wilson Bowden Developments to purchase a brand new 30,000 sq ft unit within 10 minutes drive of our new Everards Meadows Brewery site."

"It will provide a great working environment for our staff and an efficient new logistics facility. The acquisition of Optimus Point is an exciting component of the next phase in Everards' history."

Up to 2,300 jobs could eventually be created at Optimus Point, in a mix of warehousing, offices, industrial units and shops on the 65-acre greenfield site.
