Optimus & Interlink feature in Logistics Manager 2015

Both Optimus Point and Interlink 130 feature in the Logistics Manager December 2015 edition.

The report comes at a time where there is a shortage of immediately available logistics/warehousing properties which has coincided with a surge in demand.

According to Colliers International latest research, quoting rents for new speculative industrial units space have as a result surpassed pre-recession heights.

Recent statistics indicate there is only approximately three to six months supply of existing good quality distribution warehousing of over 100,000 sq ft left, and no units at all readily available over 250,000 sq ft. Given this shortage in stock, there has been an upward impact on rental values in the Midlands region particulary around the M1, M42 and south M6 corridors.

Optimus Point, a 65-acre warehouse / distribution development located off M1 J21a is to see the completion of it's first speculative units in Spring 2016.

Optimus 276, a 276,690 sq ft warehouse boasts a 12.5m eaves, 12360 sq ft office, 28 dock and four level access doors, a 50kn/sqm floor loading, 48 HGV and 233 car parking spaces with a 59m yard depth. Optimus 205, a 205,124 unit also has a 12.5m eaves, with 9,904 sq ft of offices, 20 dock and four level access doors, 41 HGV and 175 car parking spaces with 57m yard.

Further up the M1 corridor, located off J22 in Bardon is Interlink 130. A joint venture between Wilson Bowden Developments and Goodman, this 130,000 sq ft unit is also due for completion in Spring 2016. With 12 dock and two level access doors, a 12.5m eaves and a 50 yard with 105 car parking spaces, it represents a further prime speculative unit being built by Wilson Bowden Developments.
