Aldi and Greene King for Nottingham Business Park

Wilson Bowden Developments are to build a 18,761 sq ft Aldi supermarket alongside a 12,841 sq ft Greene King pub at Nottingham Business Park, M1 J26.

The site is directly adjacent to the Barratt and David Wilson Homes residential development known as Woodhouse Park, which is currently being developed with 300 new homes.

Some 85 jobs are set to be created after Nottingham City Council gave the go ahead for a new pub and supermarket on the outskirts of the city.

The proposed development will provide a much needed new local centre for the existing and proposed residential developments and also the business park which currently have limited provision.

There will be an increase in main food store provision that help meet the retail needs of the local catchment area by enhancing consumer choice. The Aldi food store provides an amenity to the local area which is currently lacking, along with the creation of local jobs.

Aldi and Greene King both look forward to becoming considerate neighbours and a valued part of the local community.
