Allport Cargo Services for Interlink 130

Wilson Bowden have signed an agreement to lease with Allport Cargo Services to occupy a 130,000 sq ft distribution warehouse at its Interlink 130 development situated in Bardon, Leicestershire. The project is being developed in partnership with Goodman.

Allport Cargo Services have agreed a 10-year lease to occupy the recently completed facility to fulfil a new contract with a leading retailer. The building is currently being fitted out and is expected to become fully operational by the end of the year. Once fully operational, it is expected to create 100 new jobs.

Interlink Park is a premier logistics and industrial development situated in Bardon, North West Leicestershire approximately 1.5 miles from Junction 22 of the M1 motorway situated within the distribution "Golden Triangle" bounded by the M1, M6 and M42 motorways.

It is an established and successful location for logistics and home to a number of leading local occupiers including Amazon, Volvo, Antalis, Nissan, Graphic Packaging and Bunzl Healthcare.

The new distribution centre which was completed in March 2016, features 124,611 sq ft of warehouse space together with 6,068 sq ft of offices. It also benefits from 12 dock levellers, 2 level access doors, 12.5 clear height, 50 metre yard and parking for 105 cars.

The development enjoys easy access to Coalville, Leicester and Loughborough which provides a large pool of labour. Both East Midlands International and Birmingham International Airports are within easy reach.

Commenting on the announcement, Wilson Bowden Development Manager Henry Henson also said:

"We are delighted to complete the agreement to lease with Allport Cargo Services. This letting represents the strong demand from the distribution sector, to acquire Grade A logistics space in prime locations, such as Interlink Park, Bardon."
