Wilson Bowden Supports National Cleanup Initiative

Team members from Wilson Bowden took part in a community litter pick on Friday, 9 May, at their flagship 100-acre Infinity Park Derby development. The event was part of a wider initiative spearheaded by the Barratt Foundation in partnership with Cleanup UK, aimed at improving local environments and encouraging community pride across the country.

Armed with litter pickers and bin bags, the Wilson Bowden volunteers worked across key areas of the park, collecting waste and raising awareness about the importance of keeping development and public spaces clean and welcoming. The litter pick was a resounding success, with dozens of bags of rubbish removed and positive feedback received from local stakeholders and community members.

The initiative is part of a broader effort taking place across the UK, with Barratt Developments employees joining forces to support litter picking and environmental cleanup activities in their local areas. The Barratt Foundation have donated £100,000 and this one year partnership will help the problem of litter in the community and offer out the opportunity for employees to use their volunteer days to take part in a local litter pick.
